The Spirit of Haida Gwaii

Bill Reid has for a long time been my favourite artist. This is his piece called The Spirit of Haida Gwaii, it is in the international terminal at YVR.

    I just found your blog with a Haida Gwaii google search. Fantastic photos, fun clips of info. (I laughed out loud with the freeway to Abbotsford shot, if I had a dollar for every trip the family station wagon drove out that way back in the 80's...) We left Vancouver for Haida Gwaii just over a year ago; we had to get out of the rat race, concrete jungle and busy-ness. I enjoy these Van-city area photos b/c they are still and silent but also so alive. thanks for sharing.

    thanks for the feedback Nicole, it is always nice to know when someone stumbles across my blog.

    I actually look forward to getting a bit of free time and browsing through your blog. I've always wanted to make it up to the Haida Gwaii, it is on the top of my priority list. I'm even considering doing another 100 day photo project up that way next spring/summer if I can get all the pieces in place.
